Am 11.05.2024 waren am Himmel über vielen Gebiete in Deutschland Polarlichter deutlich erkennbar. Grund war der heftigste Sonnensturm seit über 20 Jahren. Auch in Leopoldshöhe war das Spektakel ab ca. 0:20 Uhr sehr eindrucksvoll.
